Ibn Khaldun and Ibn Alkhateeb

Ibn Khaldun was characterized by characteristics that distinguished him from others. He was a volatile man, loving appearance, loving political adventure and work, confident in himself, intelligent, and clever, as his life was full of adventures and events so that Arab political history did not witness to a man like Ibn Khaldun, and this is a reference to His wide fame and distinguished works. One of the attractive ideas of Ibn Khaldun, he explained in his famous introduction to logic and science, where he presented his research based on the strong relationship that brings together history and political and social events, and this relationship depends mainly on cause and effect, as his famous theory (rural society and urban society) described some personalities in human society and animal society. He also pointed out the necessity of having a so-called supreme ruler for these societies, and the rural and urban societies were termed (Bedouins) and (urban), and he considered that both of them possess strong fanaticism.

Ibn Khaldun is considered a distinguished Arab genius. He was an encyclopedic scholar with multiple knowledge and sciences. He is a pioneer in many sciences and arts. He is the first founder of sociology. The innovation that Ibn Khaldun approached was in organizing his author according to a new approach that differs greatly from the historical writings that preceded him. Ibn Khaldun’s poetry varies in quality, some of which are characterized by sweetness, quality, the accuracy of words and transcendence of meanings, which puts him in the ranks of the great poets, and he is few of his poetry, and some of them are considered as abstract systems from the spirit of poetry, and some of them are considered a middle ground between both doctrines.

As for prose writing, he was concerned with pronunciation and used embellishment, assonance, affectation, and tendency to overstatement, and Lisan Al-Din in all of this is considered the undisputed author of his time, in addition to being a published writer, dispatcher, and a skilled poet.

It was obvious that Lisan al-Din ibn al-Khatib was affected by the surrounding environment in which his father, who was holding a ministerial position with the kings of Bani Nasr, worked. He worked as a secretary to the head of the Construction Bureau, and later assumed the Office of Construction after the death of the person who was occupying him. He also secured him on the Muslim treasury, and one of the most important titles he was given to the two ministers was literature and the sword because he was a skilled writer who was able to occupy and lead many political positions with efficiency and skill, but the slanderers did not leave him to achieve more achievements, he did not soon, except that they almost intrigued him.
