Abstract

Leadership whether a leader is an entrepreneur or after gaining experience from the job. It will never be successful until or unless a leader has set good relationship and insight about the business operation. Leadership does not mean to ask the people to make follow-up blindly. It is about collaboration, listening and counseling others for gaining something fruitful outcome. Innovation cannot be a cook in the incubator; it is done through the collaborative efforts, vision sharing and also encouraging others to contribute their part in the perusing a new process. Free to cherish other and give credit to others for their contribution is also a bottom-line principle of successful leadership.

 

Chapter 1: Mini-Case: Richard Branson Shoots for the Moon

Q 1:

Rather than a manager, Richard Branson is a leader. He was charismatic leaders who uncover mean to achieve the success since his teenage (Lussier & Achua, 2013, p. 338). Richard Branson started his own business since he was in the new school and continuously ventures new companies. After student magazine business, small recording studio and established his label Virgin Brides. Developing new ideas, inspiring followers and always keeping new term business views exemplify his leadership skills. He not only listens to his followers but also encourage them to peruse their vision. Richard Branson always remains approachable and always free to talk with the followers. He always focuses on generating new ideas will collaboration of followers, neither took the credit of new ideas, nor limited ideas to present are possibilities make him qualify a true leader.

Richard Branson has a close and good relationship with his followers that contribute to make him a successful leader.  (Tjosvold & Tjosvold, 2015). He always put special attention toward the listening and supporting his followers and encourages them to work on their ideas. He believes in worth listening to people with prodigious ideas. It is a quality of an excellent leader to listen to the team to get results from different situations. I believe Richard Branson is profitable due to his open-mind who always ready to expand ideas for the sake of gaining own and followers satisfaction.

A common belief that is associated with the leadership is limited people perspective is inevitable for good leadership. Richard Branson is an example who unverified these myths. A popular myth is leaders are born they cannot be made. Richard Branson disproved it, as he has inborn dyslexia and no leaders can survive with such disabilities. Richard Branson also dropped out of school only because of this disability.
