Sustainable development

Our economy and society depends on the natural resources. After the industrial revolution there has been a trend observed that human have started to exploit natural resources at a speed that have endangered the natural process that makes sure that the natural resources are regrown. Sustainable development is therefore necessary to progress keeping in mind the importance of natural resources and protecting them from disastrous effects of human industrial activities. There needs to be a systematic approach towards sustainable development and there must be policies made to ensure it (Griggs, Stafford-Smith, Gaffney, Rockström, Öhman, Shyamsundar & Noble, 2013).
