Examples of companies in forward and backward integration
An example of a company’s forward integration is when a company purchases or merges with another company that acts as its distributor. Hence the company get a full control of its distribution processes.
A backward integration is when a company purchases or merges with another company which acts as its supplier. For example if a yogurt company purchases a milk production, it would be backward integration.
