Which of those strategies do you think is most effective? Can you picture any of them having potential drawbacks?

Consider the five strategies for fostering goal commitment (rewards, publicity, support, participation, and resources). Which of those strategies do you think is most effective? Can you picture any of them having potential drawbacks?

Fostering goal commitment is an important function in any organization to achieve organizational goals effectively. Though all the five strategies could be utilized in organization, I would go with the support strategy to be more important than the other four. The reason that I chose support is because I have personal experience when employees are given unrealistic goals to achieve without any help from managers and supervisors. By help I mean a support system in an organization that allows employees to be able to express their feelings about how realistic a goals is. These employees are forced to make quick decisions and complete a task within unrealistic deadlines and absence of enough technical and personal skills. The results could be disastrous in my opinion as the goal may not be achieved.
