Is Telecommuting Good or Bad for Business?

Telecommunication can be bad and good in certain areas. Telecommunication benefits and disadvantages people also. I am actually very familiar with telecommunication because my father actually works from home. His company employed him as a project manager for the company he works for and for the majority of the time he stays at home because he can get the work he needs to get done without going to the office. Some people obviously would struggle a lot with this because they like to be in an office setting with all the resources they need around them, this includes, co-workers, databases and even technology that is not offered at home. On the other hand I do realize that working from home can be a lot better for some too. Working from home has its benefits. First of all working from home allows you to work in the private setting of your home, you won’t have anyone come and bother you while working and you certainly won’t have your boss up your back the entire time which can make working very difficult for some. I feel like telecommunication is not an easy thing to achieve usually employers allow those people that have a lot of experience and higher credentials to benefit from these things, usually employees that are just starting out will not have such an opportunity from the get go. Telecommunication is not easy and it certainly isn’t stressful on someone but may induce problems if the job requires the employee to be present at the office.
