Timing tactics impact strategy profoundly and fundamentally. In operation strategy, timing is related to resources purchase, production schedule and release. In technology for example, a project to develop a software program has strict scheduling and any extra time would add more costs to production. Timing of releases of new products is crucial for competitive advantage. If a product is release too soon for the market, there will not be enough demand to sustain the growth of production. On the other hand if a product is released to late in the game, it would be driven out by existing competition.
