For a five slide presentation, I would discuss the addition of slides to the presentation, saving a presentation, adding different styles and them giving applying different style themes, adding pictures and tables to slides, adding slide times and adding different transition effects between slides. I think that these are some of the most important aspects of PowerPoint that they would need to know. If they learn this, they would be confident to develop a presentation that could serve their purposes.
