Four key functions of management

The four key functions of management are planning, organizing, leading and controlling.

Planning is a comprehensive detailed strategy with which the organization is suggested to move forward towards success.

Organizing is the organization of planned activities so that they are efficiently and timely completed.

Leading is the most important role that the leader/leaders of an organization play by giving a vision to the employees. This vision influences the employees to work hard to achieve organizational goals also set by the leadership.

Controlling is a function played by supervisors and managers that is utilized to objectively assess the success against what was set as a goal. The success may be measured qualitatively or quantitatively or both.
