What are the main sections of a research article?

 

According to the American Psychological Association, there are seven major sections of a research article. The first section is the title of the article that has to be relevant with the material inside. The second and third major sections are Abstract and Introduction sections respectively, which also includes literature review of the study. The fourth and fifth section is about methodology of the study and the results of the study. Finally, the last two sections are discussions on the basis of results and references.
