Define training. Briefly describe ten widely used instructional methods.
Training is the action of teaching a person or animal a particular skill or type of behavior. This is important to TQM because all new employees need to be trained on their specific job duties, and current employees receive training in any important areas that could use improvement. 10 different teaching methods are: cooperative learning, brainstorming, direct teaching, lecture, and lecture with discussion, multimedia, role playing, and games. Personally, I learn more through experience, so role playing is very beneficial to me as I get to learn and practice the specific role and duties. Another beneficial method is lecture with discussion because you can get taught things, and respond by clarifying any questionable areas up. Games are also a good method of training, because it is a fun way to be productive and learn things at the same time.
