What is Machiavellianism? What are the dangers associated with leaders who have a strong Machiavellian orientation?

The Machiavellianism, according to psychology, is a type of personality in which a person does not choose to be but simply is a manipulator. The person sees through the situation and manipulates the parties in engages with based on personal advance or collective. Such personality types are regarded to be with the persons who are calculating, conniving, and deceptive defined by Den Hartog & Belschak (2012). When consider such leadership the dangers can be unethical acts and mistreatment with the followers, especially in case of minorities and ethnics differences. The calculating, conniving, and deceptive leaders will either prove danger to the organization or to the external parties that are investing in the organization, in turn causing organization to suffer.
