The SAP ECC ERP is the follow up to SAP’s R/3 system. The former is a critical component of the SAP Business Suite, which is the software made for Oracle to be able to optimize its business functioning. This system is composed of 4 main modules namely: Financial, Corporate services, Human Capital Management, and Operations. The latter holds the functions such as purchases, research works and development, as well as the service component of the company. On the other hand, the financials component facilitates for core accounting and financial processes that enable Oracle company to track the levels of expenses, revenue, and profit among many other accounting functionalities with the required amount of accuracy. The third aspect is Human Capital Management, which comprises of aspects such as the human resource, payroll, functionalities for workforce management and managing of talents through recruitment exercises, training, and promotions. Finally, the Corporate Services module is paramount is helping asset management, for example, real estate, enterprises, project portfolios and environmental safety.

This particular software comprises of executable application developed in ABAP. Services are divided into many application servers, and a code responses  server helps in maintaining stable communication between various soft wares. The format assist in the distribution of different the workload according to servers available. This style helps in distributing the workload according to the availability of the server with every user depending on level of busy. The work of server is to store, retrieval and modify. This architecture of R/3 has enabled integration of other modelled soft wares with the central and frequently used servers apart from users and speed. The key server of the company were at the one place while all the activities within those software could be reflected in other related software in real time. This also greatly improved the performance of reporting and analytical tools and management of different levels working at different locations. This has enabled management of business workflow even at a unit level that makes application extremely user-friendly. It provides smooth and perfect compartment with other modern non-SAP application. It can comply with various levels of IT infrastructure in contrast with SAP R/2 architecture that used to run on systems thus easy adoption system.

All organizations are technologically advanced and use the available ERP systems in the world. SAP recognition as one of the best ERP system and its ability to handle hundreds of transaction at the same time. Due to ever changing technology,  chances of technologic advancement is necessary to control more emerging and demanding works thus performance is crucial than the previous system of ERP. The is a need to develop a cost efficient and easy to maintain in the long term as this hinder technology uptake as the more the upgrade, the more it is expensive to maintaining an ERP system.
